Client: Digital marketing agency owner Industry: Digital Marketing Challenge: The client faced significant time and effort tracking and manually entering payment gateway transactions into Zoho Books, which was prone to errors and time-consuming.

Problem Statement

The client used GoCardless for payments and Zoho Books for accounting. However, there was no native integration between these systems, resulting in:

Manual tracking of payments, refunds, and settlements.

High risk of errors and missing transactions.

Significant time wasted (30-60 minutes daily) on data entry and reconciliation.

The client wanted to automate this process for smoother and more accurate bookkeeping.

Solution Delivered

I developed an automation system to seamlessly integrate GoCardless with Zoho Books using Pipedream and Node.js. The system handles the following tasks:

Payment Recording:

Automated the recording of each payment received via GoCardless into Zoho Books, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.

An invoice is automatically sent to the customer upon payment receipt.

Bank Settlement Matching:

Integrated GoCardless bank settlement data with Zoho Books.

Automatically matched transactions in Zoho Books with the corresponding bank feed.

Automated Workflow:

Created a system that eliminates manual data entry, reducing the chances of errors and missed transactions.
