is a visual exploration of dystopian moods, distorted memories, and retro-futuristic soundscapes. This series of experimental cover designs blends grunge textures, VHS degradation, futurism
each frame capturing a fragmented story frozen in static.
Concept
The main inspiration behind this project was the intersection of music subcultures, digital decay, and early internet rebellion. Each composition is designed as if it were a lost cassette cover from an underground label — where the line between analog and virtual disappears.
The project captures the feeling of:
Glitch and imperfection
Lost media nostalgia
Industrial noise and ambient underground design energy
Design Process
Textures & Noise: Layered scanned paper, CRT noise, and analog film grain to emulate aged media.
Typography: A mix of gothic, condensed sans, and distorted pixel fonts to emphasize the tension between order and chaos.
Color Palette: Muted blues, greys, and acidic reds — chosen to resemble decayed photographs and corrupted digital files.
Composition: Built through collaging techniques, mixing found imagery, experimental typography, and surreal overlays.
