We developed the Kathmandu Sightseeing app to redefine how travelers explore Nepal’s cultural heart. Designed to enhance tourism through innovation, the app powers a modern Hop-On Hop-Off (HOHO) sightseeing service, combining flexibility, real-time technology, and immersive storytelling.

At its core, the app transforms traditional city tours into an interactive digital experience. Travelers can easily plan their journey, track buses live, and explore key heritage sites across Kathmandu with complete freedom.

One of the standout features is the integration of AI-powered chat assistance, enabling users to get instant support for routes, historical insights, recommendations, and travel queries—anytime during their journey. This creates a personalized and responsive travel companion right in their pocket.

To further enrich the experience, we implemented geofenced, audio-triggered guides. As users approach major landmarks, the app automatically plays curated audio stories in multiple languages, allowing them to discover the history and cultural significance of each site without needing a physical guide.
