As a UX Engineer and Branding Specialist, I was responsible for the end-to-end branding, website development, and social media strategy for DRF Construction & Remodeling. Below is a detailed description of the process:
1. Brand Identity Development
Logo Design:
The logo design was built around a clean and modern concept to reflect DRF’s professionalism in the construction and remodeling industry. Using Figma, I conceptualized a house shape combined with the brand name to symbolize security and precision. The logo’s minimalistic design allows it to be easily recognizable on both digital and print platforms, from social media posts to business cards and construction site banners.
Color Palette and Typography:
The color palette includes a deep blue as the primary color, associated with trust, reliability, and professionalism. Accent colors were selected to complement this, such as subtle gray tones for a clean, modern look. I chose sans-serif fonts to maintain clarity and readability, reinforcing a clean and professional feel throughout the brand’s assets.
2. Website Design and Development
User Experience:
I was in charge of designing a smooth and responsive user experience for the website. I created wireframes in Figma that focused on clear call-to-action buttons, such as “Get a Quote” and easy access to contacting the company via WhatsApp. The site is intuitive and offers users quick access to important services like customer testimonials, the process overview, and form submission for quotes.
Website Development:
Using Next.js for a fast, SEO-optimized, and scalable website, I deployed the final product on Vercel. Key features include:
• Mobile Optimization: Ensured responsive design for mobile devices.
• Integrated Quote Form: Created an easy-to-fill multi-step form to capture user information for quotes.
• Chat Integration: Integrated WhatsApp and chat features for instant communication.
3. Social Media Strategy
Platform Focus:
DRF’s social media strategy was focused primarily on Instagram and LinkedIn to target both visual-focused and professional audiences. Content was developed to showcase remodeling transformations, customer testimonials, and tips for home renovation.
Visual Content:
Using the brand’s colors and logo, I created cohesive social media templates in Figma that were used for posts and stories. I also developed dynamic video content using Adobe After Effects, including animated logo reveals for promotional videos.
Tools and Technologies:
• Figma: For wireframing, logo, and UI/UX design.
• Next.js & Vercel: For website development and deployment.
• After Effects: For video content creation and logo animations.
• WhatsApp API: For direct customer communication through the website.
Results:
The cohesive branding and seamless user experience resulted in a significant boost in customer inquiries through the website’s quote form and WhatsApp integration. The brand now presents a unified, professional image across all digital platforms, building trust and credibility with new customers.
