PDF forms into one Excel table, with checks

Task. Application forms arrive as a batch of PDFs and someone retypes them into a spreadsheet, mixing up dates and missing empty fields.

Solution. The batch becomes one Excel table with a row per form, and every row shows which file it came from. Fillable PDF forms are read exactly as typed, and ordinary text PDFs are read by their field labels. Checks run while collecting: empty required fields, an e-mail without @, a short phone number and a missing signature all go to a separate To check sheet. Dates in different formats are converted to one format, and every change is logged.

On the demo batch, 112 values from 14 forms matched the originals, and a scan with no text is flagged for OCR instead of being dropped. Fictional club and people. First step for you: one batch of your forms in a day, from $60.
