Overview

Dance Ontario approached me to conduct an evaluation of their digital
transformation efforts as a result of COVID19, and present a business case for
further funding. In addition to survey feedback, I evaluated engagement metrics
across social media and video platforms. As a result, I concluded that the digital
shift had been successful and proposed a measurement strategy that helps the non
for profit keep track of their data, increase their memberships, and secure ongoing
government funding

Approach

After the initial project kickoff which indicated December 2020 to December
2021 as the duration of interest, I gathered demographic and engagement data
from different social media platforms. I also compiled all survey feedback
responses including membership surveys, and post event surveys. With a central
data master sheet, I was able to have a comprehensive view of the digital shift
efforts and members feedback. I then facilitated a synthesis workshop with key
stakeholders to make sense of the qualitative date, which was instrumental in the
final impact report

Outcome

Using the report I authored, Dance Ontario was able to prove the impact they had
on their members during the pandemic to granting bodies and the board of
directors. They also implemented some strategic recommendations to enable their
ongoing success as they continue their digital offerings.
