Skye Rollins is the founder of Happy Hill Kids, a parenting and child development initiative based in the Los Angeles South Bay. With a strong background as a child behavior specialist, Skye brings deep expertise in early childhood mental health and parent education. Her mission is to equip parents with practical tools and knowledge to foster healthy emotional development and connection at home.
At the time she engaged our services, Happy Hill Kids was a fresh venture without an online presence — aiming to showcase Skye’s unique blend of certifications, personal parenting experience, and her distinct approach to parenting education. At the time she approached us, the venture was in its infancy — with big ideas but no online presence to anchor its credibility.
Challenges
Skye faced a tight two-week deadline to have a one-page website designed, developed, and launched to support a pivotal meeting with a prominent regional health organization in the Los Angeles South Bay. The website needed to establish immediate credibility and professionalism to help secure a contract to deliver an inaugural parenting workshop series focused on healthy development for toddlers and parents.
The challenge also included clearly articulating Skye’s varied offerings — from toddler parenting workshops to private consulting — while maintaining branding and messaging flexibility that could serve both parents directly and institutional partners like preschools or health agencies.
Objectives
Design and launch a custom one-page website within two weeks.
Establish a foundational brand identity with colors, typography, and fonts conveying warmth, professionalism, and modern fun.
Develop concise, clear messaging that captured Skye’s unique background, mission, and service offerings.
Highlight the mental health focus and practical parenting tools as key differentiators.
Scope of Work & Approach
Brand Foundation
We worked closely with Skye to craft a brand style reflecting peace, modernity, and approachability. Key choices included bright, joyful but balanced colors inspired by childhood and nature, and typography that subtly paralleled Skye’s mission—representing both professionalism and the nurturing spirit of her workshops.
Website Design & Content Strategy
The custom one-page site was structured to immediately connect with visitors through a “hero” message about empowering parents and easing the challenges of raising toddlers. The site clearly outlined Skye’s two main service areas while weaving in her certifications and personal parenting insights as differentiators.
The content reflected Skye’s strong emphasis on mental health beginning early in childhood and the importance of supporting parents during this critical stage. Informative sections anticipated questions from both parents and organizational partners, fostering trust and clarity.
Agile Execution
Given the accelerated timeline, design, content development, and technical build occurred in parallel, ensuring both speed and high quality. Constant communication ensured the website evolved in alignment with Skye’s evolving thoughts on messaging and brand look.
Starting with only past logo iterations and a few color preferences, our first step was to build a cohesive brand palette and choose typography that captured the mission, vision, and spirit of Happy Hill Kids.
Drawing from the client’s bright, sunlit family photos and outdoor scenes, we embraced cheerful, aspirational imagery to bring warmth and connection to the website theme.
The final design brings together uplifting colors, welcoming typography, and heartfelt imagery - creating a landing page that reflects the mission of Happy Hill Kids and inspires feelings of trust, hope, and support.
Both our team and the Happy Hill Kids founder are thrilled with the final outcome. The completed website beautifully reflects the organization’s mission and energy, bringing their brand to life across every device.
Results
The website became a critical asset in Skye’s proposal meeting with the health organization, contributing significantly to securing the contract to offer her inaugural parenting workshops.
It provided a polished, credible platform reflecting her expertise and passion, which differentiated her from competitors.
The site also laid a strong foundation for Happy Hill Kids’ ongoing brand presence and future growth, supporting Skye’s vision of expanding parenting education that prioritizes early childhood mental health and parent empowerment.
