Grupo Bimbo is a Mexican brand that operates in 33 different countries throughout America, Europe, Asia, and Africa.
Being the first person to work with Bimbo in Africa as a Digital Project Manager in my previous Digital Marketing Agency is enormously my honour.
During my period working with Com2Market, Digital Marketing Agency, I had the chance to manage not only Bimbo Morocco but also 02 other international brands: Kiri Morocco and Kinedorsal Morocco; Here are some of my tasks:
✅ Organizing the brand’s Social Media and giveaway competitions,
✅ Collaborating with graphic designers and animators for better layouts and content ideas,
✅ Managing Paid Media (strategy & budget level),
✅ Creating monthly reports and many more tasks that you will find in my resume.
The problem:
⛔️ New to the African and Moroccan market,
⛔️ The leak of insufficient DATA toward the audience digital mentality and behaviour,
⛔️ Ineffective influencer benchmark and profile studies.
The solution and work process:
1 – Creative ideas :
Working on a national and international benchmark, to be aware of other FMCG group brands, including Bimbo in different regions and what are they sharing with their communities, was the first step for the creative ideas.
This followed by analyzing the key success of competitors seasonal campaigns, if any, based on the metrics using the Hootsuite benchmark tool and SocialBaker. Lastly, working with the marketing officers in Bimbo Morocco to develop creative and targeted digital assets.
2- Analysis :
After preparing all of the necessary materials, it was time to look for more information, such as what other people are saying about The FMCG companies regarding complaints, contentment, innovative concepts, etc.
These preparations were done to generate and compose a sales presentation for Bimbo’s sales team to enhance disruption with their retail partners and form a necessary FAQ file for the digital marketing materials.
3- Strategic :
Finally, the strategic project was to do a deep dive into the category of media spend and identify any key trends and recommendations for improving Bimbo’s media plan, focusing on the creative ideas project – the benchmark.
I was also responsible for identifying and descrying details about what type of Ads the other competitors are developing, how much they are spending on each marketing campaign, and lastly, the reporting.
Some examples of the new campaigns:
1️⃣ Bimbo Edition of the Speed Food Prep competition includes sharing the BTS, other people’s work trying the recipe, and the big reward.
2️⃣ Ladies Kitchen – Preparing a food competition where the participants must use the brand’s supplements as the primary condition of the game, followed by sharing and inviting their friends or family, just like in the giveaways.
