In this project, I prepared a detailed examination of the Ripple network and its payment settlement and currency trading mechanisms, exploring potential IP infringement areas based on the Middleton Patent JP6813477B2. This included analyzing key functionalities, such as auto-bridging, validation nodes, trust lines, and transaction flows within the Ripple ecosystem, as well as their alignment with specific patent claims. My work entailed technical writing, legal analysis, and synthesizing complex blockchain concepts for broader understanding.
Roles and Skills Used:
Technical Writing: Crafting content that explains blockchain, consensus mechanisms, and Ripple network features in a structured, readable format.
Legal Analysis: Reviewing patent claims, including distributed ledger technology applications, and assessing Ripple's compliance or infringement.
Blockchain Knowledge: Understanding of blockchain principles, cryptocurrency networks, and specific Ripple functionalities, such as XRP and trust lines.
Project Outcome: The deliverable provided an in-depth analysis report covering critical aspects of Ripple's technology and identified areas of potential patent infringement. This work supports ongoing research in decentralized finance compliance and IP strategy.
