Johnson & Johnson - BISO (Breathe In Speak Out Website)

Johnson & Johnson needed an accessibility-forward website for their BISO (Breathe In Speak Out) initiative, a patient-facing platform for pulmonary arterial hypertension awareness.
I led the UI/UX design from concept to launch, building a responsive interface that prioritized clarity, readability, and WCAG compliance. The design system balanced J&J's corporate standards with a warm, approachable tone suited to patients navigating complex health information.
The final site shipped on time and became a core touchpoint in J&J's PAH awareness ecosystem.

What this project taught me

"Trust is a design material."

Every color choice, navigation pattern, and typographic decision either added to or subtracted from the patient's ability to trust the platform — and by extension, their care journey. Designing for patients managing a life-altering diagnosis is a reminder that great UX is never just about aesthetics. It's about reducing cognitive burden at someone's most vulnerable moments. Enterprise healthcare design demands the same creative ambition as consumer product design. The constraints are real, but so is the opportunity to genuinely improve lives.
