E-commerce Saas Product Design from scratch

P2Pseller - connects online sellers all over the world with warehouse spaces, in real-time, so they can get back to the fun parts of managing a business.

Alongside a relentless, talented team, I designed and built a P2P e-commerce app from the ground up.

🦠 After COVID-19 when the e-commerce market grew significantly, demand for warehouses grew by small business owners. P2Pseller wanted to build an app that would help connect the warehouse owners with sellers.

💻 In order to build the product for smaller companies and independent business owners, the onboarding and the product experience had to be rethought. The new app needed to be more intuitive and quickly break down complex business data into usable insights that even those without a firm grasp of analytics could understand.

💻 The initial research showed that a lot of decision-making in smaller companies happens on the go, or in other places, where the customers don’t have access to a desktop computer. With the new responsive web app, P2Pseller was able to meet the needs of its new customer group, allowing them to get access to reports and insights on any device.

I’ve prepared high-fidelity interactive prototypes and integrated the Figma link into Maze to run usability testing. Depending on the features we were testing I asked users to finish specific tasks and run A/B Testing.

P2Pseller has an easy-to-approach, unique brand with playful details. I designed an accompanying component library based on Material Design, which enables the development team to iterate the product and ship new features quickly.

✅ The product has solid foundations. The navigational structure is simple and usable. The visual design is clear and concise.

✅ We created a solid baseline. This was a real MVP release. We made sure the foundations were strong for the future iterations.

✅ We launched an entirely new brand and set of products. This is no mean feat when developing a whole product from scratch. The timelines were tight, the expectations were high and there was a lot on the line.

🔬 As the sole Product Designer, I worked closely with the company’s founder, product manager, and development team to bring the first version of the P2Pseller app to market.

🔬 I worked on multiple areas of product development as a Product Designer, including the main web app and the adaptive mobile version. In addition to those, I gave input regarding project management.

🔬 I was also responsible for building the MUI Design System in Figma, which will be utilized across different teams and help designers collaborate more efficiently and transparently in the future.
