Chinese Laundry used the Boomerang feature, which loops a video in a forward and backward motion, to create the ad in Instagram Stories.
By using Boomerang and overlaying the text in a regular font, rather than the company’s branded font, the team was able to make the story look more like the other kinds of stories that the audience is viewing.
The team delivered the ads to a Custom Audience of shoppers who visited the website within the last 15 days but who had not purchased in the last 3, increasing both purchases and return on ad spend."
