Role: Social Media Strategist / Content System Designer
Client: Fantasy Author
Market: Spanish-speaking / Mexico
Project Type: Client Work / Pre-Launch Strategy
Status: Strategy Complete · Production Pending
A fantasy author building a social presence around short, accessible stories for people who love imagination but may feel intimidated by traditional long-form reading. Before producing the campaign, I built the strategic foundation and content system that would guide how the brand communicates, creates, publishes, and learns from its content.
Build the social foundation before trying to fill a calendar with posts.
The goal was to create a recognizable author brand that could make fantasy and reading feel accessible, while giving my client a repeatable way to connect with readers beyond simply promoting his book.
I began with a guided client questionnaire designed to uncover what the brand actually needed to communicate.
From those answers, I developed the Author Codex — defining the brand’s purpose, mission, vision, values, personality, audience, emotional positioning, and visual direction.
The strategy was created in Spanish and built specifically around my client audience and goals.
Once the foundation was clear, I translated it into three custom content pillars, each with a different strategic role.
Rather than treating the pillars as generic topics, each one was designed around:
what it should make the audience feel → what question it answers → what type of content belongs inside it → where it should be distributed.
The final system combines market research and existing content patterns with formats designed specifically around my client personality, book, and audience.
The strategy then became a working system rather than a document that would be forgotten after one meeting.
Everything lives in one place and follows a clear flow:
Foundation → Ideas → Production → Publishing → Performance → Learning
The workspace includes the content doctrine, idea archive, raw-content storage, publishing calendar, distribution log, analytics tracking, and supporting creative resources.
The final stage was preparing the brand to actually enter production.
That included the profile direction, bio, visual language, content aesthetics, platform roles, initial publishing calendar, and the workflow my client can use as content begins rolling out.
The strategy is complete. The campaign has not launched yet, so this case study intentionally focuses on the strategic build rather than performance results.
