Dathic, a data analytics platform serving Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) companies, operates in a market dominated by well-established competitors with strong brand recognition and long-standing contracts. The company has faced difficulties in persuading risk-averse CPG firms to consider a new analytics solution.

Approach:

Through discovery, it became clear that competitors relied on outdated data sets, generalized insights, and a "set-it-and-forget-it" client management style. In contrast, Dathic takes a hands-on approach, providing CPG clients with recommendations grounded in zip code-specific attributes such as cultural preferences and technology fluency. For instance, Dathic's AI can distinguish between Puerto Rican and Mexican neighborhoods, while other products offer generalized data about "Latinos" across much larger geographic areas. This allows brands and distributors to market effectively and stock grocery stores with culturally relevant offerings without the need for costly site visits.
By enhancing the top-of-funnel content and processes, Dathic has increased the number of prospects entering the consideration phase. These prospects arrive at demos with a preliminary understanding of the platform and its unique features. This enables salespeople to focus more on addressing specific situational questions rather than explaining basic features, thereby accelerating the sales cycle and improving conversion rates.
