Step 1: Design consultation

Step 5: Stitching
After imprinting your logo and graphics, the upper components (vamp, tongue, heel, lining) are joined together using a sewing machine.

Step 6: Lasting
The last is a rigid foot-shaped mold and the lasting process is what determines the final shape of your custom soccer shoes.
In this step, a worker applies adhesive to the edge of the stitched upper (at the lasting margin), pulls it over the last and temporarily tacks or glues it.
Heat from steam softens the upper and makes it pliable while a lasting machine exerts pressure on it to mold the toe and heel. Once the upper is fully molded in the last, the lasting margin is trimmed, and a strong adhesive is applied to the bottom for outsole attachment.
Step 7: Outsole Attachment
The outsole is the bottom part of the soccer shoe and it comes in varying shapes and types according to the model you want to customize. Turf soccer shoes, for example, have small rubber studs in the bottom of the outsole while that artificial ground soccer shoes are hollow and conical in shape.
In this step, an adhesive is first applied to the edges of the outsole which is then joined to the lasted upper. Then a hydraulic press adds pressure to the shoe to strengthen the bond between the two.
Next, solvent or water-based adhesives are added to cement the bonding. This process is also called Glue replenishment. The shoe is then placed in a heating oven (50° – 60°C) to activate the adhesive and increase hardening.
Step 8: Stitching and Sock liner installation
.The shoes are removed from the oven and a sewing machine sews the toe and heel parts to strengthen the bond between the upper and outsole.
After this, the last is taken off and the sock liners are put into each shoe to provide cushion and comfort to the feet. The sock liners can be branded or plain and are usually precut.
Step 9: Quality Control
At this final stage, quality assurance staff checks the shoes for stains, irregularities and defects. This last step is a crucial part of the manufacturing process as it ensures that all final outputs are fit and ready for shipping to the customer.
