Background: Augmented Reality was
an underutilized marketing tool in the building material category, particularly in
Eastern India. While working with SRMB Steel, I was responsible for the grill
section category, which involved B2B sales to house builders and other
end-users.
Objective: To create demand-pull for
the grill section category by involving end-users in the decision-making
process.
Solution: Develop a mobile app using
Augmented Reality that would allow end-users to experience different grill
designs in real-time prior to fabrication.
Result: Successful implementation of
the mobile app, which made SRMB Steel a category leader and introduced AR
technology to the construction material marketing industry.
