As the Principal Product Designer, I devised and implemented a strategy to attract customers, transform the industry, and boost engagement with Workhuman products. Collaborating with designers and engineers, I defined features and oversaw the product roadmap, leading the planning, prioritization, metrics tracking, marketing, and go-to-market plans. Managing complex product launches within timelines and budgets, I developed visually appealing interfaces and marketing materials, and established relationships with critical customers to improve engagement and retention.

Hiring, managing, and mentoring team members, I guided the growth of the Conversations team. My hands-on research included understanding jobs to be done, discovery research, and competitor analysis. Running executive and client workshops, I aligned stakeholder expectations and business goals. I worked with the design team to create a cohesive visual identity and contributed to a new company-wide design system. Additionally, I collaborated with marketing and customer success teams to ensure a unified approach to product launch and promotional materials.

Utilizing skills in product strategy, interaction design, prototyping, user testing, mobile design, information architecture, user research, team management, goal setting, agile methodology, project management, and UX writing, the project resulted in over 6.3 million pieces of content created, serving over 1 million users, growing the team from 7 to over 40 people, and gaining 15 clients.

Conversations was designed to help users take ownership of their performance development. The primary goal was to offer a new way for users to own their performance development, helping managers support employee growth through continuous feedback. We faced challenges, including a tight deadline and changing the mindset of organizations tied to older performance development methods.

Using Agile and design thinking methodologies, we collaborated closely, kept work iterative, and engaged stakeholders to solve genuine user problems. Conversations launched successfully, with several internationally recognized companies signing up within the first three months. We onboarded 250,000 users and won a UX Achievement award from UX Awards Ireland.

Through this project, I learned to challenge assumptions, value collaboration over siloed work, and maintain a clear product vision. Asking for help and resources proved crucial, demonstrating the power of humility. As the principal product designer, my leadership, understanding of user needs, and commitment to collaboration and iteration drove the product's vision and overcame obstacles, showcasing the impact of thoughtful design and teamwork.
