Zenya is a non-custodial DeFi platform that allows users to stake, save, and borrow crypto assets, while maintaining full control. It was designed to simplify the complex DeFi experience with flexible interactions, real-time insights, and transparent terms.
For many users, interacting with DeFi protocols is intimidating. Between unfamiliar terms, confusing flows, and high financial risk, many potential users get stuck at the edge of entry.
Meanwhile, platforms often separate staking, saving, and borrowing into fragmented tools, leaving users to juggle multiple dashboards with little clarity.
Design & UX
Zenya unifies staking, saving, and borrowing into one seamless experience. The platform supports:
Staking tokens (e.g. LSK) with flexible lock periods and visible reward growth
Saving stable coins with adjustable lock durations and auto-compounding rewards
Borrowing stable coins against crypto collateral—without selling their holdings
Each flow was designed to minimize friction, provide clear feedback, and empower users with autonomy.
UX Bottlenecks
Users were getting confused and overwhelmed in certain parts of the platform, especially around tracking their stakes, choosing validators, and dealing with constantly changing data.
To fix this, we made things easier to follow:
Stake history was split into three simple tabs: Ongoing, Matured, and History, so users could quickly see what’s active, what’s finished, and what’s been done in the past.
We cleared up the confusion between validators and DeFi protocols by using consistent labels and adding quick explanations through tooltips.
Since live values like APR and rewards were refreshing too often and distracting people, we slowed the update speed, showed only the most important changes with animations, and even gave users the option to pause auto-refresh.
To help users better understand the risk of their loans, we added a Loan Health meter with easy color codes (green = safe, red = risky), a slider to adjust LTV, and short explanations for what each risk level means.
