They said AI could make a consistent character , What about 8 consistent characters ?

A 14-page visual narrative written by Kurdish-Turkish author Elif Gemicioğlu , illustrated in 10 days with 8 recurring characters, cultural authenticity, and a semi-anime style that had never been attempted in this language.
The challenge
Cultural relevance isn't a prompt. It's research, memory, and intention.
Illustrating for a Kurdish writer meant more than matching a style guide. Stone villages, embroidered traditional dress, warm home interiors , every visual element carried the weight of a culture whose stories are rarely seen in children's publishing. Every color choice was an act of remembrance.
The process
Final illustration with consistency locks
The workflow was iterative, not generative. Illustration came first , then AI was used to stress-test and refine references , then illustration again, AI served the artist, not the other way around.
