Helixr

Helixr approached us back in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (full swing pandemic!) wanting support with rebranding their existing business consultancy Alto Consulting. Alto were a group of highly experienced consultants and specialists who wanted to continue to service the Life Sciences sector but under a brand that better represented their values and approach.

We started with the naming process, finally landing on Helixr (after many months of shortlisting and brainstorming.) Helixr’s name is an amalgamation of the word “Helix” which of course is found within a DNA double Helix molecule strand, and the word “ Elixir”, a medicinal solution. Both of these words provide a foundation for sentiments around symbiosis, foundational elements, cohesion and providing solutions to problems.

Inspiration for the core visual identity centers around the helix symbol and its symbolism for evolution, strength, growth and resilience.

We interpret the helixr shape with a series of isometric lines converging to form both a letter “H” but also a helix shape. This also gives us opportunity to demonstrate clarity from complexity with the multiple intersecting lines forming a shape with convergence.

The visual identity is inspired by how they deliver meaningful change for their clients through a strong emphasis on symbiosis, expertise, understanding and leadership.  This is represented by the multiple strands of the helix converging in the middle and highlighted by the two aligned strands of the helix.

Branded guidelines were created to help facilitate consistent application of the brand across different mediums and platforms.

Helixr provide services to life science businesses and they wanted to produce an animated explainer video outlining the life cycle of a drugs production and some of the challenges that drug companies face whilst also highlighting how Helixr can support.

We illustrated the main characters, multiple scenes, background elements and the primary storyboard before then working with their internal animator to animate each scene to completion.

I prototyped the website within Figma for review by stakeholders, iteration process then finalising for approval. The website was then built within a Wordpress environment.
