The Scope
New Content Creation
Two-thirds of my scope with Angi was creating new content following debriefing documents. The process begins with researching top-ranking competitor pages. Next comes developing an outline following format blueprints.
Various formats I've created include:
Long-form comparison comparing the pros and cons of two to three different options
How-tos and DIY guides for handy homeowners
Informative and troubleshooting pieces
Listicles of various solutions to one specific problem
When necessary, I also created copies to guide designers to create infographics for the content.
Existing Content Optimization and Update
About one-third of the assignments are article updates to make older content more competitive. The process includes:
Fact-check existing content, such as cost and local construction codes
Update with new H2s for stronger rankability
Full rewrites
The Results
First-page ranking on highly competitive keywords
Many of my articles are visible on the first page of relevant search results, with multiple pieces seizing the top 3 rankings. These pieces are well-structured for general ranking and featured snippets.
