New identity and website for Norwegian cheese farm

Task

Skarsmoen wanted a brand that mirrored everyday life on the farm. Authentic, warm and without noise. The name Skarsmoen Ysteri was correct historically, but heavily in use. The website was not supposed to sell online. It was supposed to display products, taste and maturation, and provide an overview of outlets. The solution had to work for a small team that updates content as the season shifts.

Solution

We started with strategy and positioning. What should Skarsmoen be known for, and how do we make it recognizable across surfaces. From there we mapped the name to Skarsmoen. Typography, color, and image usage were taken from the farm's expressions. The identity is calm, with a lot of air and natural light in the photograph. We removed embellishments that don't help the story.

Website

The website is built as a simple editorial experience. First you meet the story, then the products with brief descriptions and tasting notes. Outlets are clustered and grouped by region. The structure is made for mobile first. The text is short and human. Images are optimized for fast loading even on weak coverage. All content resides in pure collections in the CMS, so updating is quick during periods of heavy production.
