Digital Class Schedule Planner – Interactive Prototype

My partner and I are developing a School Timetable Builder, a web application designed to help schools create and manage their timetables easily and efficiently. Instead of building schedules manually, staff members responsible for planning can use our web app to visualize, edit, and organize all timetable data in one place.

The timetable is displayed using color-coding to ensure a clear and intuitive overview. Users can filter by teacher or class, and quickly navigate to any date using the calendar icon. This makes it easy to review or adjust the schedule without losing track of important details.

Users can add or remove subjects for each class. They can switch between days or months, and again use the calendar icon for fast navigation. Additionally, they can choose to save changes for a single day or apply them to every Monday, for example, which speeds up the scheduling process.

The platform allows users to add or remove teachers individually or upload them all at once using a CSV file. There is also an overview section where schools can clearly see all registered teachers.

For each class, users can assign teachers and rooms, as well as upload class data through a CSV file. A class overview is also included to ensure transparency and easy management.

I was responsible for developing all four of these main features:

the timetable visualization,

subject management,

teacher management, and

class management.

My partners supported the project by working on the backend and designing the home view of the web application.

Our target audience is schools, and our goal is to provide them with a simple, flexible, and powerful tool for building and organizing school timetables.
