Riff & Roast is a conceptual music café that brings together specialty coffee, live music, and creative community experiences in one warm and energetic space. Designed for young creatives, musicians, and coffee lovers, the café offers a cozy environment where people can connect through coffee culture, open mic nights, and live sessions. The project explores how branding can capture both the comfort of a café and the atmosphere of local music culture within one cohesive identity.

The main challenge of the project was creating a visual identity that balanced two distinct worlds: the warmth and familiarity of a neighborhood café with the bold energy of live music culture. The identity needed to feel expressive and rhythmic without becoming too aggressive or club-like, while still appealing to a creative and community-driven audience. Another important aspect was building a flexible visual system that could work consistently across packaging, signage, menus, social media, and event promotions.

The final identity combines bold typography, warm earthy tones, atmospheric imagery, and graphic visual elements inspired by music culture and coffee spaces. A strong typographic approach was used to create rhythm and impact throughout the system, while the color palette draws inspiration from coffee tones, dim lighting, and intimate live music venues. A simple mascot-style illustration was introduced as a secondary brand element to add personality and reinforce the playful and community-focused side of the brand. 

The identity was applied across a variety of touchpoints including café packaging, signage, loyalty cards, menus, social media posts, and event posters, helping create a cohesive and immersive brand experience centered around coffee, music, and creative connection.
