Commissioned by the School of Engineering, Design and Built Environment at Western Sydney University, ARK360 designed, developed, and hosted an interactive online portal featuring a custom-built virtual reality (VR) gallery. The initiative aimed to elevate the presentation of student work by creating a digital-first, immersive experience that celebrates creativity, innovation, and technical excellence across engineering and design disciplines.

Showcase Student Excellence: Provide a professional platform to exhibit final-year and research projects across architecture, engineering, and design.

Deliver an Immersive Experience: Enable visitors to explore projects in a 3D VR gallery that replicates the atmosphere of an in-person exhibition.

VR-Enabled Gallery: Built using WebGL and Three.js, the gallery offers a spatial, interactive tour of student projects compatible with VR headsets and browsers.

Student Project Pages: Each exhibit includes media, descriptions, downloadable artefacts, and contextual links to broader research or coursework.

Content Management System: WSU staff can manage student entries and update the gallery via a secure admin interface.

Web-Hosted & Scalable: Deployed on a fast, secure cloud platform with flexible capacity and 24/7 availability.

Multi-Device Compatibility: Accessible on desktop, mobile, and VR—ensuring wide accessibility across devices.

ARK360 delivered a lean and agile project using low-code front-end tools for content management and high-performance WebGL for the immersive experience.

Design-Led Discovery: Wireframes and clickable prototypes ensured alignment with faculty and branding teams.

VR Implementation: Leveraged Three.js and custom shaders for realistic lighting, spatial navigation, and interactivity.
