For this project, I worked with an up-and-coming cocktail bar aptly name St. Vain. St. Vain is a cocktail bar and lounge that makes quality, unique cocktails and offers a unique–and what some might even consider–irreverent ambiance. As a business in a crowded market, they needed a brand that would help them stand out and a website that would intrigue their customers as well as encourage and increase reservations.

After conducting a brand strategy session I was able to clarify St. Vains message and audience. From here I was able to develop a mission statement, brand traits, and a brand persona. With these all in consideration, I developed a visual identity that consisted of a logotype, brand colors, and brand typography.

With a strong brand established, I was able to adapt this to the St. Vain's website. As a bar and lounge, the website did not need to be overly complicated but it did need to display key information and ultimately set them apart in a crowded market. For this, I focused on creating a copy-driven website that captured the brand's voice (irreverent and sarcastic) and had playful interactions to help guide users to reserve a table ahead of time. The website even has some fun pop culture references that are sure to connect with the target audience.
