Baccarat Rouge 540 - 3D Commercial Spec

This is Baccarat Rouge 540, a cinematic 3D product spec visualization and brand commercial conceptualized and executed within a 2-week production sprint. The goal was to craft a luxury visual narrative for Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s blazingly popular cologne, blending macro ingredient storytelling, photorealistic glass and gold lookdev, and cinematic sound design. Safe to say, this one's pretty hot (540 degrees to be exact)!

Beginning with some quick ideation on how I wanted the shots to go, this video is entirely CGI'd save for one video stock footage (the amber resin), so that I could see how my work lives up to the real world. The first 2 seconds of the shot had to be somewhat intense, I wanted the combination of sounds and color to pause potential viewers who might be seeing this on a social media platform. So it's a bit ironic, but my favorite shots of this feature would have to be the crocus saffron flower and cedar tree macro shot. As someone who cares very much about personal hygiene and scents, these shots really push the visuals of the actual cologne bottle hero shots. Without them, it would just be a glorified model showcase but with the additional storytelling of one top, middle, and base note they really push the entire trailer into a more polished, refined state.

What I built was a successful delivery on Bacarrat Rouge 540's scent profile in under 30 seconds! It was an absolute blast to work on this spec project every now and again and I can't wait for to start the next one!
