โ™ป๏ธ Turning trash into wall art

Salvatore Sammartino

๐ŸŽฃ Freshly sourced from the vibrant streets of Montreal, this Magikarp was crafted entirely from picked-up garbage during walks around my city. I already had the paint and glue making the process faster.

๐ŸŒฑ I created this wall art for an event on Instagram to bring the community together and get creative and sustainable. Whether it was transforming plastic waste into art or spreading the word on social media, every action counted.
๐Ÿ’š Pokรฉmon has always been a source of joy and inspiration, allowing me to tap into that playful spirit and relish in the creative process. I picked Magikarp as my model because it represents real fish. I intended to highlight how plastic affects marine life by making fish out of collected garbage. This piece is similar to what you might see in markets, reminding us of the importance of tackling plastic waste to protect our oceans.
๐ŸŸ Doing this project made me realize that we donโ€™t need to be perfect when it comes to sustainability. Itโ€™s about being creative and enjoying the little changes we make along the journey.

๐ŸŒŽ Letโ€™s keep pushing for a greener future. Reflect on ways you can make a difference in your daily life and share your eco-friendly initiatives with us using #greenrescueteamchallenge
Together, letโ€™s inspire positive change!
