Cover image for SEO Optimization for OpenCart Fabric
SEO Optimization for OpenCart Fabric Store | 259 Organic Conversions & 69.33% Engagement The client operates an OpenCart website selling knitted fabrics to both wholesale and retail customers. The product range includes cool, stretch cool, interlock, ribana, stretch ribana, cashcorse, two-thread, three-thread and fleece-backed fabrics. The initial goal was to prepare the website for search engines. The site had missing meta tags and was closed from search engine indexing, which limited its visibility in Google. Initial SEO Issues The website required basic technical and on-page SEO improvements before it could effectively attract organic traffic. The main issues included: missing meta titles and descriptions; incorrectly configured or missing H1 elements; the website being closed from Google indexing; no properly configured sitemap in Google Search Console; insufficient technical monitoring of search visibility. What I Implemented I started with an analysis of the website's technical configuration and user traffic. Analytics tracking was added to monitor traffic and user behavior. I also created a robots.txt file to control search engine crawling and indexing. Meta titles and descriptions were prepared and implemented across the site's pages based on their content and relevant keywords. H1 headings were also tested and corrected to improve page relevance. Google Search Console The website was connected to Google Search Console to monitor indexing and search visibility. I added sitemap.xml to Search Console to help Google discover and index the site's pages. The website was then opened for Google indexing. Most of the critical technical issues identified during the initial optimization were resolved. The client did not have the objective of reaching the Top 10, so the project focused primarily on establishing a solid SEO foundation and improving organic visibility rather than implementing a full-scale ranking campaign. Results According to the Google Analytics data, the website generated: 1,682 total users 3,971 sessions 2,517 engaged sessions 63.38% engagement rate 609 total conversions Organic Search alone generated: 737 users 1,617 sessions 1,121 engaged sessions 69.33% engagement rate 259 conversions 2m 53s average engagement time per session Organic Search therefore accounted for a significant share of the website's tracked conversions despite the project focusing primarily on foundational SEO optimization. Business Impact The project demonstrated that even relatively basic technical and on-page SEO improvements can create measurable organic search activity. Opening the website for indexing, implementing relevant metadata, correcting H1 elements, configuring robots.txt and submitting the sitemap gave Google the technical foundation needed to crawl and index the website properly. Conclusion The project focused on establishing the essential SEO foundation for an OpenCart fabric store rather than pursuing an aggressive Top 10 ranking campaign. By fixing indexing restrictions, optimizing meta tags and H1 headings, implementing technical SEO basics and connecting Google Search Console, the website generated 737 organic users, 1,617 organic sessions and 259 organic conversions, with a 69.33% engagement rate. Final result: 259 organic conversions and 69.33% organic engagement rate after implementing foundational SEO optimization.

Cover image for SEO for a Media Website
SEO for a Media Website | On-Page & Off-Page Optimization + Organic Traffic Growth The client was a media and news website from Kazakhstan with strong potential but limited traffic from organic search and additional Google traffic sources. Although the website was already registered with Google News and Google Recommendations, these channels were generating insignificant traffic. The main objective was to improve the website's technical SEO, strengthen organic visibility, help authors produce search-optimized content, and develop additional traffic sources that could generate targeted visitors. Challenges The website needed improvements across several areas simultaneously. Technical issues affected page speed, indexing and the mobile experience, while the editorial process was primarily focused on topics selected by authors rather than search demand. The project also required increasing the effectiveness of Google News and Google Recommendations, improving content optimization, strengthening the site's authority and creating additional SEO-focused materials. What I Implemented I developed a comprehensive On-Page and Off-Page SEO strategy covering technical optimization, content, usability, link building and traffic-source development. The technical SEO work included identifying issues affecting page loading speed, indexing and mobile usability, preparing technical tasks for developers, and continuously monitoring the technical condition of the website. I also conducted a competitive SEO analysis of other media websites in the regional market to understand their strategies, content approaches and methods of generating search traffic. For on-page SEO, I prepared recommendations for authors covering text optimization, technical content requirements, meta tags, internal linking and image optimization. I also prepared detailed technical tasks for new SEO-focused articles. Content & SEO Strategy An important part of the project was combining editorial interests with SEO-driven content creation. Instead of relying only on topics selected by authors, I analyzed competitors and seasonal trends to identify additional topics with organic traffic potential. These topics were then turned into separate SEO materials designed to expand the website's search visibility. I also worked on improving the process authors used to prepare and publish articles, helping ensure that new materials were better aligned with search engine requirements. Additional Traffic Sources A separate part of the strategy focused on increasing traffic through Google Recommendations, Google News and Yandex Zen. The website's indexing was continuously monitored through Google Search Console and other tools. New materials could also be manually submitted for indexing when necessary, allowing the team to respond faster to newly published content and indexing changes. Off-Page SEO To strengthen the website's authority and support its search rankings, I worked on external SEO and link building. The off-page strategy complemented the technical and content work by strengthening the site's external authority and supporting the visibility of optimized materials in search results. Results After 6 months of SEO work, the website achieved significant growth across both Google Search and additional traffic channels. Google Search Console recorded: 121K total clicks 2.12M total impressions 5.7% average CTR Google Recommendations generated an additional 121K visits, while Google News generated another 1,600 visits. Traffic from other sources increased 62×, growing from approximately 1,000 to 62,000 visits per month. Business Impact The project transformed the website's traffic strategy from relying mainly on author-driven content into a broader SEO system combining technical optimization, content strategy, Google Search, Google Recommendations, Google News and external promotion. The website gained substantially greater visibility, while the editorial team received a more structured process for creating and optimizing search-focused content. The biggest result was the ability to generate significant additional traffic through Google Recommendations and expand traffic from other sources from 1K to 62K monthly visits. Conclusion The project demonstrated the value of combining On-Page SEO, Technical SEO, Off-Page SEO, content optimization and additional Google traffic channels for a media website. Final result: 121K Google Search clicks, 2.12M impressions, 5.7% CTR, 121K additional visits from Google Recommendations, 1.6K visits from Google News, and 62× growth in traffic from other sources within 6 months.

Cover image for The client was a fashion
The client was a fashion e-commerce project in Ukraine looking to increase organic visibility and strengthen its authority in search results. At the beginning, the website generated 1.84K organic clicks and 39.4K impressions, while its backlink profile included only 73 backlinks from 32 referring domains with a Domain Rating of 2.9. The project combined SEO promotion and external link building to expand organic reach and build a stronger backlink profile. Challenges The project started with relatively limited organic visibility and a small link profile: 1.84K organic clicks 39.4K impressions 4.7% CTR 12.0 average position 73 backlinks 32 referring domains 2.9 Domain Rating The challenge was to expand search visibility while developing the backlink profile gradually and increasing the number of independent referring domains. What I Implemented I worked on both organic search performance and external promotion. The work included: monitoring organic clicks, impressions, CTR and average position; analyzing Google Search Console performance; identifying opportunities for organic visibility growth; monitoring keyword performance; building and expanding the backlink profile; increasing the number of referring domains; tracking Domain Rating and backlink dynamics through Ahrefs. Optimization Approach The SEO strategy focused on expanding the website's search visibility while maintaining stable rankings as the number of impressions increased. In parallel, the link-building strategy prioritized diversifying referring domains rather than simply accumulating backlinks from the same websites. This resulted in growth from 32 to 116 referring domains, significantly expanding the range of external sources linking to the project. Results After 12 months: Organic clicks: 1.84K → 7.75K (4.21×) Impressions: 39.4K → 307K (7.79×) Average position: 12.0 → 11.4 Domain Rating: 2.9 → 18 Backlinks: 73 → 306 (4.19×) Referring domains: 32 → 116 (3.63×) Organic keywords: 293 → 370 (+26.3%) Ahrefs' estimated organic traffic also increased from 1.4K to 9.9K. In the final period, organic traffic remained stable at around 7.75K clicks, while impressions continued to grow by 7.7% compared with the previous month. Business Impact The project delivered: 4.21× growth in organic clicks; 7.79× growth in search impressions; a substantially broader external link profile; growth in referring domains from 32 to 116; stronger foundations for competing for commercial fashion queries; continued organic traffic growth despite the seasonality of the fashion niche. Conclusion Final result: 7.75K monthly organic clicks, 307K impressions, 370 organic keywords, Domain Rating 18 and 116 referring domains after 12 months of SEO promotion and link building.

Cover image for Mediceuticals is a professional cosmetics
Mediceuticals is a professional cosmetics brand focused on hair and scalp care in Ukraine. The project focused on GEO / AI promotion and content optimization for AI search results. At the start, the website already appeared in the Top 10 of Google AI Overview for all 35 tracked queries. The goal was to expand AI search visibility while maintaining strong positions and building a measurable AI traffic channel. The project was monitored across Google AI Overview, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Copilot, Gemini and Grok, with GA4 used to analyze actual traffic and user actions. Challenges The main challenge was not only increasing the number of AI mentions, but building sustainable visibility across AI search systems. Key issues included: limited initial AI Overview coverage; unstable AI citations across different platforms; constantly changing AI source selection and indexing; the need to distinguish visibility growth from actual AI-generated traffic; changes in GA4 source/medium classification for ChatGPT traffic. AI citations were treated as a volatile metric, so the evaluation focused on three levels: AI positions, citations and actual AI traffic. What I Implemented The work included: GEO / AI optimization of website content; optimization of content for relevance, clarity and AI citation potential; monitoring Google AI Overview positions; tracking Top-1, Top-3, Top-5 and Top-10 visibility; monitoring citations across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Copilot, Gemini and Grok; analyzing AI traffic and user behavior in GA4; monitoring source/medium classification changes; using performance data to adjust content and optimization priorities. Optimization Approach The strategy focused on expanding the number of queries where the website appeared in the visible part of AI-generated search results. Instead of measuring GEO performance only through mentions, I tracked AI Overview positions, citations and real user activity. This made it possible to separate long-term visibility growth from short-term fluctuations in AI citations. Results After 4 months: Top-10 AI Overview queries: 35 → 217 AI visibility growth: 6.2× Top-3 queries: 23 → 113 Top-1 queries: 12 → 35 Top-10 growth: +182 queries / +520% Top-3 growth: +90 queries / almost 4.9× All tracked queries remained within the Top 10 in the final snapshot. GA4 also showed the emergence of a new chatgpt / ai-assistant traffic segment with: 20 users 203 events 4 key events 48 seconds average engagement time 15% user key event rate. Business Impact The project significantly expanded the brand's presence in AI-generated search results. The website moved from 35 to 217 Top-10 AI Overview queries, while 113 queries reached the Top 3. This created a much larger pool of high-visibility queries that can generate AI mentions and referral traffic. At the same time, the project demonstrated why GEO performance should not be judged by citations alone. AI citations remained volatile, while AI Overview visibility increased substantially. Conclusion Final result: 217 queries in the Top 10 of Google AI Overview, 113 in the Top 3 and 35 in the Top 1, delivering 6.2× growth in AI search visibility over 4 months. The next stage is to convert this expanded AI visibility into more stable citations, AI-generated visits and target actions while continuing to optimize priority pages and strengthen topical authority.
