I built a full mobile app for $20/month. No developers. No funding. Just me, AI, and a laptop.
Here's what nobody tells you about building solo with AI: The app handles everything: user auth, payments, bookings, and database. A complete car wash platform that actually works.
My entire stack:
Claude Code ($20/month)
Supabase (self-hosted, free)
Figma (student account) Total: $20/month.
But here's the truth: I constantly hit rate limits. Some days, I could barely make progress. I had to completely rethink how I prompted, structured features, and approached each problem.
The limits forced me to get strategic.
Now? I'm just checking Apple and Android guidelines before launch. The product is built. It's real. It's shipping.
The barrier to building isn't technical anymore. It's whether you're willing to work through the constraints.

Big news: I just got my first Framer component approved, finally! Persistence pays off. Two more are coming soon.
Huge thanks to u/Framer for making this possible.
It's a Diagonal Scroll Fade component that adds a smooth, progressive diagonal gradient fade effect based on scroll position.
Best part? It's totally FREE, forever.
Check it out, share your feedback, and let me know what you think!
