This trailer is a journey back to the absolute roots of independent filmmaking. Cut from a passion project filmed 23 years ago by two students with a standard home video camera, it proves that you don't need a massive Hollywood budget or a high-end cinema rig to tell a captivating story. Long before the era of advanced color grading, AI-generated assets, and massive post-production suites, this project was built entirely on the raw fundamentals of narrative. It stands as a testament to the idea that compelling, story-driven editing is truly about resourcefulness, pacing, and a genuine understanding of human emotion.

Honestly, this could be better. I had to get this in for school (MIRACAMP) and the stills I used were only used because I didn't have time to film new scenes. What I am proud of is the flow, music selection, and narration. We need to make voiceovers cool again.

At Miracamp they have you create a highlight reel. It’s an incredibly fun project to do and I was wondering if a highlight reel for books would be a fun way to make classic literature interesting again? 🧐

A small dance studio wanted to showcase multiple dance disciplines without any great footage. This is my first job so I relied on the music to carry the story.
