Have you ever wanted to create something just for the sake of creating — whether for your portfolio, to experiment with a new style, or simply for fun — but had no idea where to start?
I recently discovered Sharpen.design (http://Sharpen.design), a design challenge generator that gives you a creative challenge at random. My challenge was: “Create a postcard for a makeup brand.”
I chose Glossier, a brand whose playful, minimal advertising style has always inspired me.
I explored a few different directions, experimenting with collage, typography, colour, makeup textures and the scrapbook aesthetic.
