The Curious Club is a self-initiated comic concept for readers aged 6–10. Three kids investigate why their garden’s squash plants flower but never fruit. I wanted to show how a science idea, pollination, can drive a story through observation and teamwork instead of reading like a worksheet.

Tiny Tales, Big Feelings is a self-initiated comic concept for readers aged 5–9. Three friends make a thank-you banner and fall out over a well-meant fix. The project focuses on emotional storytelling through posture, expression and quiet pacing, rather than action.

Mystery at Maple Street is a self-initiated comic concept for readers aged 7–11. Two young detectives follow a trail of chalk marks and keys around their neighborhood. I used it to practice cinematic framing, visual clue-planting and a restrained four-colour palette that suits a mystery without feeling grim.

The Midnight Inventors is a self-initiated comic concept for readers aged 7–11. Two kids build a homemade machine that brings their junk-drawer inventions to life. The project explores how bold cartooning, prop design and a tight indigo-and-amber palette can make a fantastical premise read clearly on the page.
