A logo I designed about a year ago: one of the first I ever made, it still remains one of the ones I'm more proud of. It went through many iterations, from being more stamp-like to this. Inspired by the company name ("light tree mobile"), with a custom Celtic rune-inspired font reflecting the handcrafted nature of the work. This was the first time I ever explored custom typography in a logo. What do you think?

The challenge was designing and building a complete website for a New Zealand eco-sanctuary. I explored multiple design directions, all while maintaining environmental values and web conventions. Through exploring various design concepts emphasising a natural feel, I built a custom website showcasing the sanctuary’s mission and visitor information. The outcome was a comprehensive digital presence that communicates the sanctuary’s environmental mission. This was an academic design project with a strict brief that made the process more challenging. But nonetheless, it was a great experience. What are your thoughts on the design? What could I improve next time? Check it out: https://project.taminodesign.com/

I’ve just given my portfolio website, https://taminodesign.com, a fresh new look!
Web design started as a simple project for my father, but it quickly turned into a passion. Now, I love creating unique, custom websites that look nice but are also functional. Thus, I wanted to update my current, outdated portfolio with a more modern Swiss-inspired design.
Check out this first draft and let me know what you think! I'm open to any suggestions, so please do recommend changes.

Tricked by Design: Exploring Dark UI Patterns.
For my media studies project, I designed a magazine about dark patterns, the subtle ways websites manipulate users. I wanted to mix storytelling and visual design to show how powerful (and sometimes dangerous) design decisions can be, specifically on websites.
As a web designer, I always aim to create experiences that are both ethical and engaging, free from deceptive design.

I recently completed a short graphic design course at Yoobee College in Auckland and really enjoyed the experience. I created some promotional material for the fictional tech store EFXTech. The tutor was fantastic, supportive and genuinely interested in helping every student create their best work. I also found it inspiring to see how different people approached the same design brief differently. The theory side of the course gave me a stronger understanding of how graphics are structured and why.
Overall, it was a great course that gave me both practical insights and new information on design.
