Meet Hyung Joo
Illustrator, storyteller, creator, and caretaker of LALATOWN. With a background in Craft Design and a BFA, I create story-driven illustrated worlds inspired by cafés, Puerto Rico, Korean culture, and everyday wonder. Through illustration, I give beloved memories, places, and small moments a home in LALATOWN. I also make dresses, bags, brushes, books, and whatever else LALATOWN seems to need.
