I guess that's why improvise with design challenges, short courses, side projects, shiny objects. It might look a bit wonky...
One of the most important ones for me is collecting. I've spent 15+ years picking up bits and pieces that later inform my work, sometimes consciously, sometimes not. Stickers, magazines, PDF presentations....
