You? Me? Them? When everyone thinks someone else owns a task, nobody does.

The fix is a RACI chart:

R: does the work

A: owns the result

C: gives advice

I: is kept informed

One rule matters most: one task = ONE owner.

No owner? No plan.

This is a risk heat map. The higher and further right, the bigger the risk.

The red one here scores 20 out of 25, and it has a name next to it: Eng lead.

Every risk needs 3 things:

1. A score, so you fix the big ones first

2. An owner: one name, not "the team"

3. A response you start now, not when it happens

Which one actually keeps your projects on track?

Kanban boards, Gantt charts, or a simple shared task list? I have used all three, and here is my honest take: the tool matters less than the habit. A fancy board nobody checks is just decoration.
