This is my submission for the Rive (https://www.linkedin.com/feed/#) x Contra (https://www.linkedin.com/feed/#) Character Challenge.
This let's you look up a cities weather and see if it's safe for a ginger to go out in. Ginghee, our character, reacts in real time to the temperature data. It connects to weather API, so the data is live and the Rive animations update instantly.
Silly ideas are the best.

How hot is too hot for a ginger?
Currently working on a submission for the Rive x Contra Character Challenge. Building off an old idea, simply type in a city, and the animations will be changed based on that. Then you'll know how hot a ginger will get!
And guess what? This respects Reduce Motion setting in your OS*. I'm very glad to get this feature in, and it was really straightforward to set up.
The plan will be to link up with a weather API and the whole thing will run live on a website sometime in the near future.
For now, last few days to push and polish this!
*once it runs on a website and not solely in Rive

My entry for Rive x Contra Character Challenge is coming along nicely.
This idea is simple. How hot is too hot for a ginger?
The characters animation state updates based on the temperatue. All linked up to Data Binding, which then would be linked to a weather API.
I won't have time for the UI or API coding before submission but hopefully in the future.
