How to do market research (the right way) First, create an excel spreadsheet with some of your competitors. Make sure they are growing at a fast rate, you can do this by using social blade. It's free, btw. Second, check their top-performing content. Make sure it has been posted within the last 2 months or so, otherwise, it won't be as effective. Third, replicate it using your own style. This works for any industry, niche, whatever. You don't have to reinvent the wheel—you just have to copy what works. Otherwise, you're overthinking it. Results speak for themselves.

Calls to action (CTAs) on carousels don't affect reach as much because the first few slides are way more important than the last one. Meaning that you can offer your stuff on every single post. Unlike reels, where CTAs strongly reduce average view time, and therefore, views. So if you want to start making sales and stop chasing vanity metrics, focus on carousels, not reels.
