MAJIK is luxury makeup for the Gothic, shadowed, and arcane. It channels inner darkness with obsidian blacks, bruised purples, and blood-rich reds that seep into skin. Not for daylight; this is pigment for rituals and midnight. The packaging I designed is meant to feel like something otherworldly, an ancient tome. The exterior is matte black, soft and absorbing. At the center sits my original MAJIK logo mark, glossed into the surface and sealed with a thin iridescent film. The mark itself is reflective, but the film bends the light, flashing a range of color, providing a MAJIK look, depending on how it catches the light.

Who else spends their free time stitching? 🙋🧵🪡 More people are spending time with tactile hobbies like cross-stitch, knitting, and crochet since the pandemic. I believe ~45% of needleworkers are also now under the age of 35! My submission for the #retoolchallenge, Needleminder, is built to help those creatives in these hobbies organize their needlework projects, inventory, and patterns they might have. The goal is to never let project materials and amazing patterns go to waste. A really fun way to explore how Retool handles a unique and functional use case. Thanks to @Retool and @Contra HQ for putting this challenge on. Excited to hear people's thoughts on the project!

Ever get a receipt from a non-profit? Usually those are given when you donate clothes. For many other 501(c)(3)s, these types of in-kind donations can be a hassle to manage administratively (as I'm well aware!). My Tempo Labs submission allows a nonprofit to have a portal for users to self serve with a password, and generate in-kind donation acknowledgements that the nonprofit has track of afterwards.
