Interesting references don't always come from the same category. This was an old social media design experiment for a bond repair shampoo in a minimalist style. Searching for shampoo ads usually leads to more shampoo ads. Water splashes, ingredients, and hair strands have been explored for decades, so it's easy to end up with visuals that feel familiar. Some of the references for this concept came from nature instead of beauty campaigns. The gecko wasn't there just for decoration. Its texture and regenerative qualities opened up compositions that I wouldn't have reached by looking at beauty ads alone. Using more colors, more elements, and showing the entire product doesn't automatically make a visual stronger. Especially for social media, the first job is to stop the scroll. Sometimes showing only a part of the product, leaving plenty of negative space, or introducing an unexpected element creates more curiosity and interaction than another product shot. Rules are useful, but they're not always the answer. Small changes are often enough to make people stop and take a second look. A few frames from an old exploration. Did it break the pattern for you?

Role: Backend Developer (Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, REST APIs) ScrapBag is a startup that enables users to sell scrap online through a seamless pickup and payment experience. I was responsible for developing the backend services that powered the customer platform as well as the internal fleet management system. For the customer application, I built scalable REST APIs for user authentication, scrap pickup requests, order management, and wallet transactions. When a user scheduled a scrap pickup, the system automatically created an order and assigned it to the operations workflow. I also developed the backend for the fleet management platform used by drivers and field executives. Each driver was associated with a vehicle and could view assigned pickup requests, navigate their collection route, update pickup status, and mark orders as completed in real time. Once a pickup was successfully completed, the backend calculated the scrap value, updated the order status, and automatically credited the customer's account with the corresponding amount. This ensured a smooth end-to-end workflow from booking a pickup to receiving payment.
