2nd Place in the CapCut AI Video Studio Challenge! 🥈 I’m incredibly stoked to announce that I’ve taken 2nd Place ($2,000) in the CapCut Video Studio Challenge right here on Contra. For this piece, I leaned into my obsession with the "Nolan" aesthetic—specifically focusing on 70mm IMAX textures and a cinematic narrative that bridges the gap between the grounded and the galactic. Hearing the judges break down my "Interstellar" tribute and call the shots "VFX-worthy" during the live announcement was a massive highlight. The Workflow: I utilized the new VideoStudio ecosystem, using the integrated Seedance engine to art-direct every frame. It was all about precision—syncing the atmosphere and scale to ensure the AI felt like a high-end camera, not just a generator. The Mindset: Most people look for a peak, but I’ve learned that when you’re built to keep climbing, there is no ceiling. This win is just the new baseline. Huge thanks to Zoë and the Contra team for the recognition and for pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the freelance ecosystem. On to the next one.

The ingredients of this website have been pure love, countless strategy sessions between @Ansh Jamdagni and I, and a shared obsession with getting every detail just right. I worked on the branding and copywriting, and Ansh brought it to life through design and Framer; translating the copy into a visual world that feels exactly how I envisioned it to be. Every word was rewritten more times than I can count. Every layout refined till it felt effortless. And now that it’s live, it honestly feels surreal. To see something we built from scratch finally come together; equal parts clarity, storytelling, and design+dev is a quiet reminder of why we do what we do. "Client work is MORE IMPORTANT! You're too late. Don't even bother starting NOW!" 😥 ― My brain when I got the reminder notification about #magicpathchallenge 24 hours ago! ⏳ Saw the timer, thought "💀 no chance," and nearly closed the tab!❌ (Almooooost listened to it. BUT decided to act ANYWAY!) 🏃🏼‍♂️💨 Reframed by telling myself: Even if I don't win, I got a real project out of it. TBH, I loved using MagicPath. Built MemoryForge 🧠 – a Landing Page for an AI memory API – entirely in MagicPath. Took a few focused hours to prompt, iterate, and ship. SO, Glad I ignored the lazy voice and built something instead of listening to my lazzzzy mind voice. nobody has built an interaction that gives users power OVER the algorithm. so i did. reverse-engineering the algorithim patterns and accepted the makeathon challange to built something different. it's called Project Helix. instead of a feed that talks AT you, every recommendation comes with a question: "i'm showing you this because of X. do you accept, modify, or reject — and why?" you reject something → the system rewires in time. not after 30 days of behavior. immediately. the graph you see? that's the Path Matrix. it visualizes how your negotiations reshape the algorithm's decision tree. every rejection creates a new branch. every acceptance reinforces a path. you're watching your own agency become architecture. try it yourself → https://option-payer-93231299.figma.site

I'll make a hundred small calls a day without blinking, then completely freeze on the ones that matter: the job, the move, the "should I actually buy this." My old method was opening fifteen tabs and texting five friends, then feeling more lost than when I started. So for the @Contra HQ x @Flowstep challenge, I built the thing I kept wishing existed. Decido takes a decision you're stuck on and hands it to a council of six little characters, each with their own personality. There's an optimist, a realist, one who guards your wallet, a history buff, a friend who just tells it straight, and a minimalist who asks if you even need it. They think it over, then you get a real verdict: a confidence score, the honest trade-offs, and a look at how it plays out over time. It's basically your group chat, except it actually reaches a conclusion. I built all of it in Flowstep. I described what I wanted screen by screen and watched it come to life, then shaped it by just asking. Wanted a shortcut into the debate? One prompt. A new loading sequence? Done. Changing my mind mid-build turned out to be the easy part for once. Using MCP made working a breeze! It's the app I made so I'd finally stop second-guessing. Fittingly, I didn't have to second-guess building it either.
