Front-End Developer building websites that actually work.

Hey Ya'll👋🏽 I just wrapped up a fully coded skincare website template built for beauty brands and natural product sellers who want a polished online presence without hiring a developer from scratch. Hand-coded in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (no frameworks, no dependencies), fully responsive, with smooth scroll animations and clean typography. Includes a home page, full products page with category filtering, about page, and a contact page with WhatsApp order integration built with small beauty businesses in mind. Check out the demo video below to see it in action, and let me know if you'd want something similar customised for your brand. 💚

Most portfolios are static. I wanted mine to be alive. 💻⚡️ I built Pepsie.OS, a fully functional, browser-based operating system designed to be my personal mission control. It’s not just a landing page; it’s a high-security environment where my real-time data from GitHub, Linear, and Spotify converge. From password-protected vaults for my site templates to a secure Stripe-integrated checkout, Pepsie.OS bridge the gap between aesthetic design and hardcore technical utility. Welcome to my workbench. 1. The Vision: Why Pepsie.OS? As a developer, I find myself jumping between dozens of tabs. I wanted to create a "Single Pane of Glass"—a workbench that feels like a secure OS but runs entirely in the browser. I focused on a "Low-Light, High-Performance" aesthetic to keep the focus where it belongs: the code. 2. Real-Time Data Integration The sidebar isn't just for show. I used dynamic JSON fetching to pipe in: GitHub: My latest commits so clients can see I’m active. Linear: My current sprint tasks to show project progress. Spotify: A live "Now Playing" widget with pulsing animations to show the vibe behind the build. 3. The "Vault" & Secure Commerce I don’t just show my work; I sell it. The Restricted Area: A password-protected directory for "Classified" project files. Secure Checkout: I integrated a Stripe-ready modal system for my Tax-Consulting Site Templates, allowing users to go from "Preview" to "Purchase" without leaving the OS environment. 4. Core Features at a Glance: Draggable Window Engine: A custom-built UI that allows for a multi-tasking workspace. Live Terminal: A built-in CLI for navigating the system directory. Portfolio iframe: Seamlessly preview my past work within a "window" of the new OS. Building this required more than just CSS—it required thinking about how a developer actually works. It’s about security, speed, and a touch of personality. Whether you're checking my availability or buying a template, you're experiencing my workflow firsthand. loom link: https://www.loom.com/share/423fe8bf793b44858fc196c823d922c5 site link:

Oneacc Consulting — Giving a Solo Tax Practitioner a Real Online Presence My brother inlaw runs Oneacc Consulting, a tax and accounting consulting business in Johannesburg — solo, no employees, built entirely on word-of-mouth referrals. He had no website and handled every enquiry manually by phone. The Product: A fully designed, mobile-responsive multi-page website built in Base44 (Home, Services, About, Contact) — premium corporate aesthetic with alternating navy/light sections, his real brand colors and logo, and copy tailored to his actual service offering: corporate & individual tax, VAT, employees' tax, tax consulting & compliance, tax dispute resolution, and accounting advisory. The Automation: Two layers working together — Lead capture: "Book a Free Consultation" and "Request a Quote" forms trigger an automatic email to him plus a confirmation email to the client, so no enquiry gets missed while he's working solo. AI Superagent: A chatbot answers common questions about services, required documents, and general SARS deadlines, then routes anything specific to a consultation booking — extending his availability beyond business hours without giving binding tax advice. The Impact: A one-person practice now has a professional online front door and a system that captures and responds to leads automatically — freeing up time he'd otherwise spend on manual admin, for a business that's growing purely on reputation. Parcel Sprint browser game prototype AI-assisted, self-produced original prototype by Jaco Taute. This is not paid-client work. Parcel Sprint is a one-minute, three-lane delivery game made with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Canvas. Players collect parcels, avoid roadworks and try to improve their local best score. It includes keyboard and on-screen steering, streak bonuses, pause/resume, replay and optional synthesized sound. The responsive interface and code-drawn graphics are contained in a single downloadable HTML file. No sign-up, backend, external assets or payment service is needed. Best scores stay in the browser when local storage is available. Supporting evidence includes actual browser screenshots, editable source and a saved automated-Chrome test report with 32 passing checks: 22 browser checks, 8 deterministic simulations, 1 full automated-play round and 1 synthetic browser-event check. These are not 32 manual playtests. Images: desktop-browser start screen, then gameplay in a 390-pixel-wide responsive browser viewport. The second image is browser emulation, not a physical-phone test; its local best is a test-browser score. No hosted deployment, physical-device test, human playtest or market validation is claimed. The sample demonstrates a runnable prototype, interface and game logic, with no paid-client results, validated demand, revenue or unaided human coding/design expertise claimed.

An SOP is useful only when someone can act on it. For the Clear Handoff Kit, I built a repeatable page structure: Who uses this, and what starts the task? What inputs, tools, and access are needed? What action happens next, and how do you check it worked? Where do exceptions go, and who owns the decision? Where is the current source file, and when is it reviewed? The workbook pairs a process-capture worksheet with editable SOP and handoff pages plus a maintenance checklist. The sample is fictional and self-initiated; any real procedure still needs review by its process owner. Need help turning a supplied process and walkthrough into a scoped guide? See the Client Workflow & Handoff Kit Setup service: https://contra.com/s/eembmMlO-client-workflow-and-handoff-kit-setup

The Penguin Hiding Behind One Name A self-produced 37-second science explainer for VarysDrogo, using original schematic animation to introduce a research proposal that separates gentoo penguins into four species. Original geometric penguin illustrations, a hand-drawn approximate orientation map, a generic illustrated museum specimen and timed English captions turn the research into a short visual story. The grouping is an explanatory schematic, not a reproduced scientific figure. AI-generated generic narration is disclosed. No paper figures, stock footage, museum photographs or third-party music are used. Research source: Noll et al. (2026), Communications Biology, https://doi.org/10.1038/s42003-026-10081-7 The video presents a proposed taxonomic revision; it does not claim universal adoption. Own-channel editorial work, not a paid-client project or a claim of audience or revenue results. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/EfFV1Zt-5Sk
