Oneacc Consulting — Giving a Solo Tax Practitioner a Real Online Presence
My brother inlaw runs Oneacc Consulting, a tax and accounting consulting business in Johannesburg — solo, no employees, built entirely on word-of-mouth referrals. He had no website and handled every enquiry manually by phone.
The Product: A fully designed, mobile-responsive multi-page website built in Base44 (Home, Services, About, Contact) — premium corporate aesthetic with alternating navy/light sections, his real brand colors and logo, and copy tailored to his actual service offering: corporate & individual tax, VAT, employees' tax, tax consulting & compliance, tax dispute resolution, and accounting advisory.
The Automation: Two layers working together —
Lead capture: "Book a Free Consultation" and "Request a Quote" forms trigger an automatic email to him plus a confirmation email to the client, so no enquiry gets missed while he's working solo.
AI Superagent: A chatbot answers common questions about services, required documents, and general SARS deadlines, then routes anything specific to a consultation booking — extending his availability beyond business hours without giving binding tax advice.
The Impact: A one-person practice now has a professional online front door and a system that captures and responds to leads automatically — freeing up time he'd otherwise spend on manual admin, for a business that's growing purely on reputation.

For years I've done the same pointless thing: I pause a film because someone's wearing the exact coat I've been looking for, then I screenshot it, reverse-search it, scroll past forty results that aren't it, and give up.
The thing I wanted was right there in the frame. It just wasn't connected to anything.
So I built it.
Vantara is a streaming service where you pause any moment and it tells you what's in the shot and where to buy it: the exact piece, or its closest match. Because you're never going to find the real 1912 opera coat from the costume department, and you don't want to pay for it either. You want the look, at a price that makes sense.
It's 11 screens across desktop and mobile, including the player, the pause-to-shop panel, item pages with real prices and delivery, a Vault that watches prices and tells you when something drops, and a search that runs backwards. Describe a look, and it finds you the scene it lives in.
I built every screen in Flowstep, driven through the Flowstep MCP server with Claude, on one design system applied across the whole thing.

Read/Design is a personal project that started as a way to keep my curiosity about design alive. Think of it as a digital library built from the books I've collected over the years. The idea is to share, every month in an Instagram post, the insights that stuck with me the most, with the goal of spreading knowledge and encouraging the reading of physical books.
Since sharing your process is the thing now, here's how this came together: I designed the graphics and website myself in the old-fashioned way, but the site itself was built in Claude Code with a Notion database behind it. Huge respect for developers. This build cost me two migraines and way too many tokens.
