A static price list wasn't an option for a gold business; the site had to stay accurate to the market or the client risked selling below cost or losing trust with buyers.
What I Built
A full-stack e-commerce platform from scratch — Next.js on the frontend, Node.js backend, Neon (PostgreSQL) database, hosted on Netlify with the codebase managed through GitHub.
Live Gold Pricing Engine
Integrated GoldAPI.io (http://GoldAPI.io) so every product's price updates automatically against the live global gold rate — no manual repricing, no stale listings. Built fallback logic so pricing stays reliable even if the live feed is temporarily unavailable.
Payments
Integrated Stripe for secure checkout, with webhook-driven order confirmation so payment status updates automatically without manual reconciliation.
Admin & Operations Backend
Built a full admin dashboard so the client can run the business without touching code: product and brand management, order tracking, customer records, and sales reporting — all in one place.
