What if sharing your work was just part of making it?
I love the idea of building in public, but documenting the process can become a whole process of its own.
So I wanted to see if I could remove some of that friction by creating a work diary.
I’m experimenting with using AI to pull from the work I’m already doing and turn it into simple daily entries, so I can keep track of all the ideas, decisions, mistakes, and little discoveries that usually disappear once a project is done.
I just want to make the work I’m already doing easier to share.
How are you actually documenting your work right now? Have you found anything that makes it feel more effortless?

Building in public quietly becoming a second full-time job is so real, the documentation ends up eating the making. A work diary that removes that friction is the actually useful version of the trend. Curious how the AI handles the boring bits.
I think its a great idea! Towards the end of the project, we can go through the entries to analyse which creative decisions are worth sharing and talking about.

Great project but - "What if sharing your work was just part of making it?" I have never thought of this way. That sentence changed my whole perspective. I was mostly focused on output but I realized other designers/ceos/client were more interested in process rather than end result. This green checks everything. Many thanks

Great idea. I started doing something similar a month ago. I keep everything in a Obsidian workspace that I can update through github and use as a base for content. It's not automatic yet though, but it could be with a bit of work.
how is Obsidian serving you? I find it a bit overhyped tbh
Not sure yet. I think it’s fine. I mostly use it to get agents write logs about my projects so I have a timeline for later if I need to make a case study or a post about it.
Documenting the process really does become a second job sometimes. Anything that cuts that friction is a win.

The work is the easy part.
As a freelancer, the hard part is everything around the actual work: finding work that fits, pitching it well, following up at the right time, and making sure you actually get paid. Most tools help you manage projects you already have. Very few help with the rest.
So I built Rendr, a Mac app for the business side of freelancing. Today I'm opening a small private beta.
Here's what it does:
→ Job finder: Searches open job boards, the careers pages of companies you want to work for, and your Contra feed, then scores each posting against your resume and explains why it fits.
→ Site audits: Paste a business's website and Rendr checks its speed, search basics and accessibility, then writes a review and a short outreach email.
→ Applications: A tailored resume, cover letter and application answers in about a minute. Every line comes from your real resume and shows where it came from.
→ Proposals and Pipeline: Track every lead to a signed proposal, draft proposals with packages and pricing, and get a follow-up drafted when a proposal goes quiet.
→ Money: See what's come in, which invoices are open or overdue, and every subscription you pay for, with a heads-up before renewals.
→ Command: Your day in order, with a short daily briefing.

It's private by design. There's no account and no Rendr server; your clients, proposals and files all stay on your Mac. AI features run on your own Claude API key, and Rendr drafts but never sends anything on your behalf.

love that it drafts but never sends anything on its own, that's the right call. for the site audits, where do your beta users usually find the business websites to paste in?
I designed and built Agent Workflow, a Framer code component that shows how an AI agent works in one animated block.
The problem: AI products are hard to explain. “How it works” sections are usually static diagrams that visitors scroll past.
What I built: A live pipeline. A trigger fires, a glowing pulse travels along curved connectors, each step goes Waiting → Running → Done, and the result card appears. Then it loops.
Details:
• React + Framer Motion, written in TypeScript
• Over 30 settings in the properties panel: steps, 14 icons, labels, colors, font, speed, autoplay and play-on-scroll
• Responsive: a horizontal flow on desktop, a vertical timeline on mobile
• Accessible: respects reduced-motion settings
• Light and dark themes
