As a Squarespace designer I am SO excited for the Finish Layer tools they just dropped. I already loved Squarespace for the easy drag and drop interface, but this adds a whole new level to my work. Which of the tools are you the most excited to try?

That's what I'm thinking too!

This is seriously impressive. It feels as fast as AI, but somehow gives you even more control without getting in your way.

Exactly! It's super easy to use and gives you tons of control

Yes, you're right that Squarespace is quite easy but there are some restriction on the Squarespace that's quite tricky to solve @Kristina Balciunaite by the way you did an excellent job

Thank you, Ethasham! And yes, it's true there are still some limitations! However, in my experience most clients want simple and functional websites they can edit themselves, which Squarespace solves really well.

The mood board comparison sold me, that's exactly the kind of friction Squarespace usually removes well. Have you tried Finish Layer on a client site yet, or still testing it on personal projects first?
Kristina's avatar
Glad to hear that resonated! I do have a project lined up to use the new tools on a client project. However, so far I've used the tools to create and sell templates

Thanks for the update

Using the tools on templates first is a smart way to learn their edges before a client project. Has selling those templates changed which finish-layer feature you expect to lean on most for the upcoming work?

I mean they all just make the process of what I would usually do quicker. Like hiding elements or adding certain animations would require custom code before, and now they're done in a few clicks. It speeds everything up!
