But, after talking further, she revealed it was because driving a Lamborghini would decrease her status amongst her mom friends. On the other hand, driving a minivan would show she was a good mother, therefore it increases her status. So it's not about money, it's about status. When I think about the the biggest ROI from building your online presence organically, the direct & guaranteed return is not monetary profit, it's status. Think about your favorite creators, they built their status by sharing their expertise, accomplishments, and experiences. They probably had to work for months or even years cultivating their brands without seeing any financial gains. Through their status, they were able to access more opportunities, and ultimately, that generated more money. Now imagine an alternate universe where they didn't build their online presence. How far would they have come in terms of building their status & reaching this amount of success? Chances are, they wouldn't be in the same place they are today.
