I may be joining the Config Makeathon a little later than most participants, but with 10 days still on the clock, I'm documenting the entire journey from idea to final submission.
Today marks Phase 1: Discovery & Definition for my project, Access Atlas.
Before designing a single screen, I wanted to understand the problem deeply.
Today's Focus : Defined the problem statement Identified the core solution Outlined the product's unique value proposition Listed must-have experiences and features Defined the target audience Conducted a brainstorming session to map every accessibility attribute that could influence a user's experience
The Problem
Millions of people encounter accessibility barriers every day, but most places only provide fragmented, generic, or outdated accessibility information.
The challenge isn't just knowing whether a place is accessible.
It's knowing whether it's accessible for you.
The Solution
Access Atlas is a personalized accessibility intelligence platform that helps people understand how accessible a location is for their specific needs before they visit.
Instead of a one-size-fits-all accessibility rating, users receive insights tailored to their personal accessibility profile.
Key Question Driving This Project
"How can we move beyond generic accessibility labels and create truly personalized accessibility insights?"
