Have we optimized technology branding for trust at the expense of wonder?
Technology is more powerful than it's ever been.
But so much of it is introduced through the same calm, restrained visual language.
It builds trust. It feels smart. It feels premium.
But... does it still make us feel excited about the future?
As designers, we don't just communicate innovation. We shape how people experience it.
So I'm reimagining launch campaigns for today's biggest technologies through the visual languages of the past. Not as nostalgia, but as a design experiment to explore how branding shapes our emotional relationship with innovation.
I'm really curious what other designers think.
How much do you think visual language shapes the way we experience innovation?

The retrofuturism angle is a smart way to test this. So much tech branding has converged on the same muted, minimal palette that it starts to feel less like trust and more like sameness. Curious which era's visual language felt most exciting to reimagine for you?
